Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational I have really enjoyed our summer, and wish it weren’t ending so quickly! Very fun, active, visual learning! Mike’s cousin works there and invited us on her day off, so we got a private tour!Īs fun as the museum was, the real highlight, of course, was spending time with Mike’s family! The kids thoroughly enjoyed their time with Gramma, Aunt L, their Great-Grandma, and Mike’s aunt and cousins! It was very fun to celebrate Mike, Anna, and Lily’s birthdays with family – and they had a repeat celebration with my brother and his family last night! I didn’t get a chance to make the cake Lily and I planned, so we may have a third celebration this week, just so we can make the cake! Maybe it will be an end of summer, back to school cake – the theme works for that, and we have to go back to school next week. Neuronic has collaborated with the Discovery Childrens Museum of Las Vegas (one of the largest childrens museums in the country) and Heartland Scenic. Johnny was especially interested in this giant marble run! The wheels he is turning control the angles of the ramps. The museum is very well-staffed, and everyone was very friendly. There is also a store, and a bank where kids can deposit paper checks into an ATM. We drove down to Las Vegas to visit Mike’s family last week, and while we were there we enjoyed visiting the new Discovery Children’s Museum in Las Vegas! I love a good children’s museum, and this one was great – one of the best I’ve seen, in fact! They had three floors full of hands-on activities, including invention stations where the kids could build flying machines and test them out and an arts and crafts area for painting and other creating. ![]()
